The church cannot be herself without woman and her role...The feminine genius is needed wherever we make important decisions.”

Welcome to the Ladies of Sacred Heart, known as LOSH!  We're happy you are here.  Our mission is to unite the women of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village with spiritual, social, and charitable activities beneficial to LOSH, the Parish and the community.

Our theme for the 2024-2025 year, "Entrust your works to the Lord, and your plans will succeed."  Proverbs 16.3

We are Catholic women, friends of Catholic women, and spouses of Catholic men. Many of us are married; some are widowed; some are divorced; some are single.  Many of us (but not all) are of retirement age.  We come from all over the U.S. and from other countries. All are welcome!  There is a place for you in LOSH!  We hold our General Membership meetings on the second Monday of the months of September through May, at 9:45, or after morning Mass.   We pray the rosary prior to 9 am Mass.

Along with our general membership, most members also are members of one of eight distinct guilds with their own Captain and Treasurer. Guild meetings, activities and social events vary by guild.  To see photos of our guilds in action, click here.  Our guilds allow us to form closer relationships outside general meetings with a smaller group of women.  They also help us get things done as a larger group, by rotating responsibilities such as hosting funeral receptions and our general meetings.  New members can take as long as they want to join a guild or remain unaffiliated with a guild.  (But you won't have as much fun or find it as easy to make friends that way).

We normally hold a minimum of three fundraisers each year, from bake sales to a Card Party to our Charity Golf Scramble held this year in April.  With the money we raise, we focus on helping women and children in our immediate area and beyond.

Here's who we are "by the numbers" at the close of our 2023-2024 year
